Joan Guntzelman (1937 - 2016) earned a doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of New Mexico and a master's degree in clinical psychology from Xavier University in Cincinnati. She wrote numerous articles and several books on dealing with loss. She passed away in February of 2016.
