Father Brian O'Brien was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Tulsa on May 26, 2007. Originally from the Houston suburb of Kingwood, Texas, O'Brien attended Boston College, graduating in 1998 with a degree in theology and political science. He earned a master's in education through the University of Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) program in 2000. Through ACE, O'Brien taught at Bishop Kelley high school from 1998 to 2002. He earned a master of arts in catholic social thought and life in 2004 and a master of divinity in 2007 from Saint Meinrad School of Theology. He has served as president of Bishop Kelley high school since June 1, 2009, following his appointment by Bishop Edward J. Slattery.
