Priscilla Herbison earned a law degree from the University of Minnesota and a master's degree in social work from the University of Illinois. She taught for many years at St. Mary’s University in Winona, Minnesota, and in 1998 received the George Christiansen Award for Excellence in Education from St. Mary’s. Herbison lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
