The growth of eTextbook adoption in Catholic schools over the last few years has been amazing. These schools are finding real value in making the switch from printed textbooks to eTextbooks. In order to meet the growing need for digital textbooks, Ave Maria Press provides schools with a variety of options:

Which eTextbook option is right for my school?
First, determine the device (or devices) your students use. Next, examine how students currently get their printed textbooks and how you wish for them to access eTextbooks in the future.
Our students have iPads.
- PDF: All eTextbooks can be purchased through a PDF Site License and accessed via a PDF reader app like GoodReader.
- iBooks: Currently there are eight textbooks available in the iBookstore.
- Distributors/Bookstores: All of the eTextbook distributors partnering with Ave Maria Press offer various means to access eTextbooks on the iPad. Check with your distributor for details.
Our students have laptops or tablet PCs.
- PDF: If schools select the PDF Site License program, students can open their PDFs in Adobe Reader or Microsoft OneNote.
- iBooks: The eTextbooks in the iBookstore are available on any Apple device.
- Distributors/Bookstores: All of the eTextbook distributors partnering with Ave Maria Press offer access to eTextbooks on laptops or tablet PCs. Check with your distributor for details.
Our school purchases books on behalf of the students.
- PDF: Schools can make a contract directly with Ave Maria Press and the school distributes eTextbooks to the students.
- iBooks: Schools may participate in the Apple Volume Purchase Program.
- Distributors/Bookstores: Check with your textbook distributor for details. (See the list of companies offering Ave Maria Press eTextbooks.)
Our students and parents are responsible for purchasing textbooks on their own.
- PDF: This option is available only to schools that purchase eTextbooks on behalf of their students.
- iBooks: Students can purchase the eTextbooks in the iBookstore for any Apple device.
- Distributors/Bookstores: Students may purchase eTextbooks through online bookstores. Check with your textbook distributor for details. (See the list of companies offering Ave Maria Press eTextbooks.)
Our students and parents purchase textbooks through an online bookstore.
- PDF: This option is available only to schools that make a contract directly with Ave Maria Press.
